Superintendent, Metallurgy

This Superintendent, Metallurgy is to monitor and report plant metallurgical performance, provide technical support to the production team, and identify and manage plant optimisation projects that will assist in maximising gold production.

  • Provide technical support to the production team to assist in achieving budgeted gold output.
  • Monitor and ensure that key plant operating parameters remain within target.
  • Deliver technical training and awareness programs to mine site personnel.
  • Location: Kalgoorlie, WA.

About the role

The Superintendent, Metallurgy will identify, scope and manage Metallurgical optimisation projects which will enhance the processing plant performance and provide value to the business.  Some of the key result areas include:

  • Safety Leadership
  • Provide timely technical advice to operational personnel as required.
  • Identify, scope and manage Metallurgical optimisation projects which will enhance the processing plant performance and provide value to the business.
  • Management of future ore test work programs and provision of key inputs to Geology and Mining Departments during annual MROR updates.
  • Completion of the annual budget, H2 forecasts and LOM.

About you

A successful leader in this position will have a minimum 8 years’ experience in gold extraction operations in a superintendent capacity. It is also important that you have or can demonstrate:

  • Minimum 8 years’ experience in gold extraction operations
  • Competent user of MS Word, Project and Excel
  • Demonstrated continuous improvement and project management skills are essential.
  • Experience with leading and supervising teams.
  • Leading and Supervising teams.
  • Planning and organising.
  • Delivering Results and Meeting Customer Expectations
  • Following Instructions and Procedures.
  • Coping with Pressures and Setbacks.
