About the role

 

Our four-year Apprenticeship Program gives you the hands-on training and guidance from experienced tradespeople and a Nationally Accredited Trade Certificate through a Registered Training Organisation. As part of our program, you’ll receive necessary tools, TAFE accommodation and additional support if required.

The roster is Monday - Friday, working a 9-day fortnight

You will be responsible for supporting the reliability and safety of Northparkes’ Fixed Plant operations by learning to maintain and troubleshoot equipment such as crushers, conveyors, and pumps.

 

Key responsibilities:

 

  • Assisting with inspecting and maintaining fixed plant machinery
  • Learning to diagnose faults and performing mechanical repairs
  • Supporting preventative maintenance activities
  • Maintaining workshop housekeeping and safety standards
  • Attending TAFE and completing formal training requirements
  • Committing to maintaining health, safety and security standards
  • Demonstrating behaviours aligned with Evolution Mining values

 

 

About you

 

You are a hands-on individual with a genuine interest in mechanical systems and a strong commitment to safety. You have completed or are completing Year 12 and hold a current driver’s licence. You are eager to learn, work safely, and contribute to a team that values excellence and respect. You can communicate clearly, follow instructions well, and are comfortable using basic digital tools. Whether through school, hobbies, or personal projects, you’ve shown initiative and a can-do attitude. You must be ready to take on challenges, grow your skills, and build a rewarding career in mining with Evolution.
