About the role
The primary purpose of this role is to support the implementation of health and safety initiatives across the business; support the site health and safety team in day-to-day functions and ensure high-quality delivery of required business services; and to provide technical support to their aligned area to assist with the management of high-risk activities.
Key responsibilities include:
- Demonstrating a commitment to health, safety, and the environment through active caring.
- Facilitating and participating in risk assessments, investigations, audits, and inspections.
- Providing support and advice as a member of Risk Exposure Groups.
- Advising operational and project teams on daily risk management activities.
- Assisting departments with health and safety initiatives and processes.
- Supporting the use of Evolution’s online safety management tool: INX InControl
About you
The ideal candidate will have a minimum Cert IV in WHS or significant relevant experience, ICAM trained facilitator (desirable), and a manual driver’s license. They should have experience in managing risk, facilitating risk assessments, understanding relevant legislation, operational experience in the mining industry, and HSE investigation experience. Key competencies include logical thinking, problem-solving, and risk management techniques. Essential skills are high computer literacy, well-developed written and verbal communication, presentation skills, and strong interpersonal abilities.
