At Northparkes, we are known for having innovative, technical and collaborative people. This role offers a 9-day fortnight (5:2 roster) and the opportunity to build a career in safety while gaining a nationally recognised qualification.
About the role
Reporting to the Safety, Systems and Compliance Specialist, the Health and Safety Officer will provide administrative support to the Health, Safety, Emergency Response and Risk teams. Responsibilities will include administrative and office support, compliance and data management, and health and safety support across site departments. This entry-level role is designed for individuals looking to start a career in health and safety.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing timely, accurate and efficient administrative support
- Filing and maintaining documentation in line with company and legislative requirements
- Participating in and maintaining the site’s safety management systems and procedures
- Supporting health and safety initiatives and projects
- Completing Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety as part of development
About you
We are looking for someone eager to learn and grow into a health and safety professional. You do not need prior experience or qualifications, just a genuine interest in health and safety and the motivation to complete a Certificate IV as part of your development. This role is ideal for a person who is organised, detail-oriented, and willing to take initiative. You will have basic computer skills, a current driver’s licence for site access, and the ability to work safely and follow procedures.
