About the role
The Maintenance Team Leader provides frontline leadership to a crew of 12 underground electricians across both shift and day operations. Working within a diverse asset base; including hoists, pump stations and underground electrical reticulation- you will coordinate safe work execution, support plant reliability, and help integrate new communication system roles into the team.
This is a hands-on leadership position that balances people management, planning, and operational support, offering strong exposure to technical development and continuous improvement across the underground electrical function.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading, coaching and developing a team of underground electricians
- Coordinating work execution across shift and day crew teams
- Ensuring compliance with Evolution safety standards and statutory requirements
- Supporting planning, shutdowns, and improvement initiatives
- Maintaining strong communication and stakeholder relationships across operations
- Assisting in the onboarding and integration of new Communications Technicians
About you
The ideal candidate will hold a NSW Electrical Licence and have previous underground mining experience, bringing both technical expertise and practical knowledge to the role. You will be confident in leading others, setting clear expectations, and maintaining open communication channels to ensure operational effectiveness. Your leadership style will be collaborative and supportive, focusing on building capability and promoting a positive, high-performing team culture. You will value teamwork, demonstrate strong organisational skills, and show a proactive approach to influencing outcomes in a busy operational environment.
