Ore Processing Trainee

About the role

The Process Technician Trainee position is a fixed term entry-level role spanning over 2 years, providing hands-on training and experience in the operation of our processing plant. Working alongside skilled operators, you’ll learn how to safely and efficiently process ore to produce copper and gold concentrate. This role offers a unique opportunity to develop a foundation in mineral processing and build a long-term career within the mining industry.

Key responsibilities include:

• Assisting with daily plant monitoring, inspections, and sampling
• Supporting safe and efficient operation of the processing circuit
• Completing basic checks, housekeeping, and reporting tasks
• Demonstrating reliability, teamwork, and a willingness to learn

About you

You don’t need previous mining experience, just the right attitude, reliability, and eagerness to learn. It is essential that you have a strong work ethic and focus on safety at all times. You should have good communication skills and a team-oriented mindset. You will need a full driver’s licence, and the ability to pass pre-employment and site medical checks. We are especially keen to hear from people based locally in Parkes, Forbes, or Peak Hill who are looking to build a long-term career close to home.
