The roster is a 9-day fortnight | 38-hour week

About the role
Reporting to the Reliability Superintendent, the Senior Electrical Engineer will lead and develop the electrical engineering and control systems professionals. You will be responsible for ensuring our assets operate safely, reliably, and efficiently, while driving improvements that support the long-term performance of the site.
This role provides the opportunity to combine technical expertise with leadership, guiding your team, setting engineering standards, and shaping asset strategies that make a lasting impact. You will work closely with both internal teams and external partners, playing a key role in delivering safe, sustainable outcomes for the business.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading, mentoring, and developing a team of electrical and control systems professionals
- Driving asset lifecycle management and reliability improvement initiatives
- Developing and reviewing engineering standards and maintenance procedures
- Providing safety and technical guidance across electrical systems
- Building strong relationships with internal teams, contractors, and regulators
- Supporting continuous improvement through innovative engineering solutions
About you
The ideal candidate will hold a degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent) and bring strong experience in engineering and leadership roles within mining or heavy industry. Exposure to asset strategy development, reliability engineering, or root cause analysis will set you up for success. Chartered Professional Engineer accreditation is valued but not essential.
You are a collaborative leader who can engage and inspire your team while confidently working with stakeholders at all levels. With strong problem-solving skills, a focus on safety, and the ability to balance technical detail with practical outcomes, you are ready to step into a role where you can make a meaningful difference.
