The roster is a 5/2/4/3 residential role, working a 38 hour week

About the role
Reporting to the Tailings Superintendent, the Tailings & Water Coordinator is responsible for supervising the tailings and water management teams to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient operations. This includes overseeing tailings storage facilities in line with regulatory and Evolution standards, managing raw and potable water supply systems, and supporting operational and project teams. The role plays a key part in daily planning, team leadership, and contractor supervision.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading a high-performing team across tailings and water operations
- Managing staffing levels and communicating clear daily and weekly work plans
- Overseeing raw water supply and tailings deposition activities
- Coordinating with operational teams on pumping strategies
- Supervising contractors supporting tailings dam activities
- Supporting RTFE and project teams as required
- Promoting and maintaining health, safety, and environmental standards
About you
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in tailings and/or water operations, preferably within the mining industry. You will have a strong understanding of how tailings and water management integrates with broader site operations and be experienced in leading operational crews. A current driver’s licence is required, and trade qualifications are desirable. You will be skilled in pump and pipework systems, geotechnical monitoring, and familiar with software such as Citec, Excel, and SAP. Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills are essential.
