Training Officer

Who we are

We’re a bold team with a bright future; and we’re looking for people who want to be part of it.

Evolution Mining is a premier global gold company operating six mines across Australia and Canada. We’re transforming mines and uplifting careers. We took our Cowal Gold Operations underground in just seven years. We’ve extended the mine life of our Ernest Henry Operations to 2040 and doubled its ore reserves. We’re transforming our Red Lake Operations, restoring it as a premier Canadian gold mine. That kind of ambition creates careers, not just jobs.

When we asked our people what they enjoy most about working at Evolution, two things came up across every site: career growth and the quality of the people. Here, you’ll work alongside people who care, who push one another to be better, with leaders who are there to support you.

What’s the opportunity?

Kick start a rewarding career in training, people development and business support while helping shape the capability of one of Australia's largest copper-gold mining operations. As our operational Training Officer, you'll play an important role in supporting the delivery of training programs, coordinating learning activities and ensuring employees, apprentices and trainees have the tools they need to succeed.

This 12 month parental leave opportunity offers a lifestyle friendly 5:2/4:3 roster, providing a 9 day fortnight and regular long weekends. You'll gain exposure across Operational Training and People & Culture teams while building valuable skills that can open pathways for career progression within the Operational Training team or other support service departments across the operations.

Based at our Northparkes Operations and reporting to the Operational Training Coordinator, you'll:

  • Support workforce capability through the coordination and administration of training programs, learning activities and compliance requirements.
  • Help apprentices and trainees succeed by managing onboarding, documentation, travel arrangements and ongoing program support.
  • Maintain high quality training records and reporting that enable leaders to effectively manage workforce competency and compliance.
  • Contribute to the smooth delivery of training services through course scheduling, stakeholder coordination and system administration.
  • Provide trusted administrative support that helps keep learning, development and business improvement initiatives running effectively across site.

Why Northparkes Operations?

Big things are happening at Northparkes. With our E22 Underground Project underway, we’re entering an exciting phase of growth that will underpin an extended mine life underground. This is your opportunity to be part of a career defining project, build new capabilities and contribute to one of Australia’s most exciting block cave development projects. At Northparkes, you don’t have to choose between a great career and a great lifestyle; you’ll get both. With flexible work options, opportunities to grow and a team that cares, this is where your bright future starts.
