About the role
The Day Camp Assistant role will be responsible for assisting the Day Camp Coordinator in the development and execution of summer day camp activities for 4- to 12-year-olds, including supervising children, participating in games and crafts, and ensuring the well-being of participating children.
The position will be on a casual roster and will be based residentially in Red Lake, Ontario.
The compensation for this role will be $17.89 per hour CAD.
Key result areas in this role include:
- Assist with day camp programs: including recreation, arts and crafts, field trips and other activities.
- Supervise children participating in summer programming to ensure a safe and caring environment that promotes positive child development.
- Assist with setting up and cleaning up of all activities.
About you
Age 16 or older and currently enrolled in high school with experience in caring for children ages 4 to 12.
It is also important that you have / can demonstrate:
- Desire to participate in activities
- Good organization skills
- Highly positive and enthusiastic
- Good conflict management abilities
- Current Standard First Aid and CPR an asset
