About the role
The purpose of the Geologist Graduate is to provide a range of support, partner with the business and develop your Geology experience. Through the program, you will develop experience and gain exposure within the site geological teams including Discovery (Exploration), Resource Definition and Mining.
This is a Two-Year fixed-term contract, working on a 5 days on / 2 days off/4 day on /3 day on (9.5– hour day) roster and will be based residentially in Red Lake, Ontario.

Key result areas in this role include:
- Develop and maintain strong and supportive relationships with stakeholders to align with Evolutions Discovery & Geology initiatives.
- Gain Evolution Mine Site and Exploration experience within the Discovery & Geology involved with the exploration, definition, and extraction of gold.
- Develop an understanding of key geologic criteria to look for when investigating a gold mineral system.
- Communicate with stakeholders including technical colleagues, mining engineers, surveyors, operators, field and support staff and contractors
- Support and aid daily activities within the Geology teams both on surface and
- Functions via site placement and exposure.
- Compile information onto geological cross sections and plans, and 3D models.
- Interpret and follow-up problematic field and laboratory results.
- Export and import data into database and mining software.
- Complete diamond drill layouts and review mine development prints. Assist with the management of drill programs including contractor management
- Communicate with mine team for grade variance, ground conditions and muck tracking by ensuring proper data support.
- Build technical understanding of a gold orebody and the processes and techniques underground, which may include:

- Collecting samples and geology information
- Geological mapping
- Supervision of drill rigs and contractors
- Logging of drill core
- Data compilation and validation
- Data interpretation
- Demonstrate behaviours aligned with the Evolution Mining values.
- Actively look for continuous improvement opportunities within the above areas of
- accountability.
- Commit to maintaining health, safety and security standards and principles, both within own workplace and through the identification of potential risks throughout Evolution.
- Split time between all Discovery & Geology specialties on site (over the course of the 2-year program)
- Participation in planned graduate development workshops and activities, include pre and post work
About you
As the Graduate- Geologist, you should have qualifications in science, majoring in Geology. Geoscience, Geophysics or possess a similar degree within the last 3 years. It is also important that you have/ can demonstrate:
