About the Role

We are seeking a Mine Operations Production Coordinator, a new role created to strengthen operational coordination and production execution across Red Lake Operations. This position will be responsible for developing monthly production plans, coordinating mining activities, and working collaboratively with Operations, Technical Services, and Maintenance teams to ensure production objectives are achieved safely and efficiently.

The successful candidate will play a key role in aligning day-to-day operational activities with short and medium-term mine plans, identifying operational constraints, and driving continuous improvement initiatives across the business.

This is a residential position based in Red Lake, Ontario. We offer a competitive salary, bonus structure, and long-term career growth opportunities. The compensation range for this role is $155,000 to $175,000 CAD, plus bonus and benefits. Schedule is 8 days on / 6 days off. 

Key Result Areas

  • Develop and maintain monthly production plans and weekly execution priorities aligned with mine production schedules.
  • Coordinate daily, weekly, and monthly production activities to support operational targets.
  • Complete workplace inspections of upcoming work areas to identify hazards, infrastructure requirements, and operational risks.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Planning, Geology, Maintenance, Ventilation, and Survey teams to resolve operational constraints.
  • Monitor operational performance, analyze production data, identify trends, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Support production and development optimization initiatives to improve productivity and cost performance.
  • Lead or participate in daily production, planning, and safety meetings.
  • Liaise with contractors and vendors to evaluate solutions that improve operational performance.
  • Promote and demonstrate a strong safety culture through proactive leadership and hazard identification.
  • Foster collaboration and strong working relationships across departments.

 

About You

As the ideal candidate, you will bring a strong background in underground mining operations, production planning, and operational coordination. You are a collaborative professional who thrives in a dynamic environment and is passionate about driving operational excellence.

You will also possess:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mining Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
  • Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation, or eligibility to obtain designation, is strongly preferred.
  • Ontario Basic Hard Rock Miner (Common Core) certification or the ability to obtain it.
  • Significant experience in underground mine operations, production planning, scheduling, and mine coordination.
  • Experience with mine planning and scheduling software, preferably Deswik.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence, collaborate, and build relationships across multiple departments.
  • A commitment to safety, continuous improvement, and delivering results.
