About the role

The Officer Contracts and Procurement will provide governance, assistance and guidance on procurement related matters to Evolution Mining (EVN) stakeholders and support good procurement practices. The Officer Contracts and Procurement will be involved in the full procure to pay cycle, supply chain, vendor relationship management, contracts management and governance that is required to ensure successful procurement outcomes.

 

This is a Fixed Term role until August 2025. 

 

Key result areas in this role include:

  • Procure Inventory and Services, Goods and Repairables in line with department Service Level Agreements (SLA’s)
  • Actively promote opportunities that support the development and transition to more automated procure to pay processes
  • Adjust purchase orders in accordance with revised approvals and variations
  • Source quotes for Goods & Services, as required
  • For rush and critical orders, set up delivery, monitor the due dates for delivery and actively manage vendors to ensure on time delivery
  • Complete new vendor or updated vendor requests
  • Prepare and analyse spend reports to support cost reduction strategies
  • Maintain contracts register and ensure information is current, accurate and complete
  • Work with the Contracts and Procurement Specialist to build relationships and engage with stakeholders to determine business needs, requirements, changes, risks and expectations to enable fully informed procurement planning, scoping and sourcing decisions
  • Conduct and lead sourcing activities in accordance with established policies and procedures, participate in negotiations to establish and review supply arrangements, and assist in implementation of outcome
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of contract management plans, resolve issues, monitor performance and negotiate contract variations through effective supplier relationships to enhance business outcomes

 

About you

 

As a Officer Contracts and Procurement you will have/can demonstrate:

  • Post-Secondary in business or related field
  • CSMP Designation or equivalent an asset
  • Experience in purchasing or supply chain
  • Able to work in a team to deliver time critical outcomes
  • Ability to prepare, analyse, profile and present data, in a structured and logical format
  • You are a positive individual with a can do attitude that is enthusiastic about your chosen profession
  • Pronto system experience beneficial
