About our Operation

Our Red Lake Operation is located in an area where you will experience the best in Northern lifestyle, in the heart of a lake-studded, boreal forest region in Sunset Country. Red Lake is known for its natural beauty, abundant wildlife, and incredible Canadian fishing in the many freshwater lakes in the area. The Red Lake district is located 180 kilometers north of Dryden about 100 kilometers from the Manitoba border in Northwestern Ontario, Canada. It spans 42,000 hectares and has produced over 29 million ounces of gold since 1949. Our Red Lake Operation includes underground mining and processing complexes in Balmertown and Cochenour, as well as the Bateman Project. As Evolution’s newest asset and our first in North America, we are excited by the opportunities here.

About the role

We currently have a position available for a Casual Security Guard; the position offers both day shift and night shifts on an as needed basis

The Casual Security Guard role offers an exceptional opportunity to monitor and enforce security protocol of all personnel; conduct searches of persons, vehicles and materials entering and leaving the property, or when deemed necessary.

Key result areas in this role include:

• Investigate incidents and concerns immediately according to security protocol
• Respond, direct workforce, and appropriately report all alarms and emergencies
• Approach and correct those not complying with procedures
• Document information with detail and accuracy following all incidents on appropriate forms or log books including producing various reports
• Work in a healthy work environment with full support, cooperation and commitment to satisfy our operation’s goal of being accident-free
• Perform other duties as assigned

About you

As a Casual Security Guard, you will have at minimum a Secondary School Graduation Diploma with the desire to complete a correspondence course in Law and Security. A Valid Class G driver’s license is a requirement of this role.

It is also important that you are willing to obtain:

• Private Security and Investigative Services Act (PSISA) training and testing
• Advanced First Aid, AED, and CPR certificate
