About the role

The Supervisor Mill Maintenance role offers the opportunity to plan, lead, organise and manage the mill maintenance team to provide mechanical maintenance services to optimise equipment availability and ensure safe, efficient and continuous operation of the process plant at Evolution Mining Red Lake Operations. This role is to recruit for a vacancy. 

The roster will be 7 days on and 7 days off (12 hours). Whilst residential is preferred, the role is also open to FIFO and DIDO, with access to our camp accommodation. 

We offer a competitive salary, bonus structure and future growth. The compensation range for this role is $ 135,000 to $165,000 CAD.

Key result areas will include:

• Direct and oversee industrial mechanics.
• Identify variances against plan and implement corrective actions to rectify variances.
• Ensure the predictive and preventative maintenance programs are followed.
• Work with the Planning department to develop a short and long-term plan i.e., weekly plan and shutdowns.
• Provide effective and strong leadership for the development of tradespersons.
• Provide technical guidance, support and supervision to maintenance personnel.
• Manage the maintenance backlogs with minimal interruption in the operation of the milling, backfill, refining and crushing plants.
• Ensure accurate maintenance records are maintained on major components and equipment.
• Identify and manage inventory level of critical spare parts.
• Coordinate site visits by specialized contractors.
• Work in a healthy work environment with full support, cooperation and commitment to satisfy our operation’s goal of being accident-free.
• Comply with federal and provincial acts and regulations, and legal requirements
• Adhere to all relevant corporate policies and procedures
• Perform other duties as assigned.

About you

As the Supervisor Mill Maintenance, you will have a Technical Certificate/Diploma in Mechanical Technology or a Trades Certificate in Industrial Mechanics.

It is also important that you have/can demonstrate:

• 3-5 years’ experience in industrial setting
• Solid understanding of preventative maintenance
• Familiar with inventory control programs
• Extensive ability to read and comprehend technical drawings
• Superior ability to comprehend and interpret operations manuals
• Extensive knowledge of industrial mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Excellent mechanical aptitude
• Good working knowledge of computerized maintenance systems and SAP
• Competent numerical and analytical ability
• Contributes to overall team success
• Strong attention to detail.
• Good decision-making and leadership capabilities.
