About the role

The Core Facility Technician role offers an exceptional opportunity to sample core to required specifications and as directed by core shack lead hand and geologists. A strong attention to detail, paying strict attention to dispatch and sample tag allocation is required. This role is to recruit for an existing vacancy.  

 

The positions will be on an 8/6 (10.5 hour shifts) roster and will be based residentially in Red Lake, Ontario.

 

We offer a competitive salary, bonus structure and future growth. The compensation range for this role is $73,500 to $99,300 CAD.

Key result areas in this role include:

  • Organize and lift core boxes
  • Process orientation core, core photography, core sampling
  • Fill out Take 5 cards daily
  •  INX hazards and safety interactions
  • Clean up shop and core racks
  • Field work sampling and assist geologists, as required

About you

As a Core Facility Technician, you will have a Grade 12 diploma. It is also important that you have/ can demonstrate:        

  • Physically fit and able to perform repetitive, manually intensive work for long periods of time, and able to lift 50 lbs on a regular basis
  • Competent communication skills and capable of accurately following directions
  • Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with others
  • Self-motivated with experience working in an industrial setting
  • Experience operating heavy equipment is an asset
  • Valid G Class Driver’s License is an asset
