This role will work a 5/2 roster from the Sydney office with 2 days WFH option available.

About the Role
Reporting to the Manager, Financial Reporting, the role is responsible for supporting high‑quality financial accounting across our corporate entities and contributing to core month‑end, statutory reporting, and audit requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Maintaining the corporate general ledger, ensuring accuracy and integrity
- Preparing monthly balance sheet reconciliations and assisting with month‑end close
- Preparing income statement variance analyses
- Contributing to monthly executive reporting and forecasting processes
- Supporting half‑year and year‑end reporting, including audit deliverables
- Assisting with the preparation of statutory financial statements and audit committee reporting
- Supporting documentation and maintenance of accounting policies and guidance
- Conducting joint venture accounting and reporting
- Liaising with internal stakeholders across Group Finance, Shared Services, and site teams
- Contributing to process improvements and enhancement of financial controls and reporting initiatives
- Demonstrating and living the Evolution values of safety, accountability, excellence, and respect
About You
You are an enthusiastic accounting professional who enjoys working in a structured, collaborative and fast‑paced environment. You combine technical competence with strong communication skills, and a willingness to embrace all challenges that come your way. There are lots of exciting projects to sink your teeth into, including automated consolidations, reconciliation tools, and transformation initiatives. We’re always improving.
What you bring
- Degree in accounting, finance, or related discipline
- CA/CPA qualification
- Minimum five years’ accounting experience, ideally in a corporate environment
- Big 4 and listed company desirable. Will consider 1st movers if commercially astute
- Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and reconciliations
- Experience in financial reporting
- Exposure to financial statement preparation
- Experience in mining or asset‑intensive industries (advantageous but not essential)
- High attention to detail, analytical mindset and a continuous improvement approach
- An ability to build strong working relationships across teams
