We currently seek an I.T Business Partner to join our team in Sydney. This opportunity will help shape the future of technology across our operations by partnering with site leaders and influencing strategic technology investment.
About the Role
Technology is playing an increasingly important role in how our operations perform, innovate and grow.As an IT Business Partner, you'll act as the key link between our operational sites and Group IT, building trusted relationships across the business and helping shape future technology priorities.
This is not a traditional IT role focused on technical delivery. Instead, you'll work closely with stakeholders to understand challenges, identify opportunities and ensure technology investment is aligned to business outcomes. You'll contribute to technology roadmaps, help shape future demand and provide a voice for our operations within enterprise-wide digital, data, AI and cyber initiatives.

Key responsibilities
- Building trusted relationships across operational sites and acting as the key link between the business and Group IT.
- Capturing, shaping and prioritising technology demand to ensure business needs are understood and translated into practical outcomes.
- Partnering with operational leaders, site teams and technology specialists to develop future technology roadmaps and plans.
- Supporting the adoption of digital, data, AI and cyber initiatives that improve operational performance and business value.
- Helping establish and evolve business partnering practices, creating effective ways of working across a geographically dispersed organisation
About You
You are someone who enjoys working with people, building relationships and creating clarity in complex environments. This role supports stakeholders across multiple operational sites and requires regular travel to site locations, together with periodic attendance at our group office. Travel patterns will vary according to business priorities, stakeholder needs and project activity.
We're particularly interested in candidates with experience in mining, resources or similar operational environments, where building relationships across sites, understanding operational challenges and aligning technology with business outcomes central to their role. You don't need to be a highly technical specialist, but you'll have enough technology understanding to translate business needs into meaningful conversations with IT teams.
Most importantly, you'll be comfortable working independently, influencing without authority and helping bring people together around a common goal.
