This role will work a 5/2 roster from the Brisbane office with hybrid options available.

About the Role

This is a rare chance to shape something meaningful from day one. Reporting to the Group Manager Financial Planning and Analysis, you will establish and lead our new economic evaluation function, setting the standard for how we assess major projects and investment decisions across the business.

You will draw on your mining experience, technical depth and commercial judgement to bring structure and confidence to large capital evaluations. Your work will turn complex technical inputs into clear, decision ready financial insights. This role has genuine influence, regular exposure to senior leadership and a clear mandate to build consistency, capability and better ways of working.

A few things you will own:

• Creating and governing our economic evaluation framework, including risk adjusted modelling
• Leading analysis for Life of Mine planning cycles and major studies
• Coaching and uplifting modelling capability across teams, including the Analyst who reports directly to you

This is a role for someone who enjoys clarity, challenge and the satisfaction of helping a company mature its commercial discipline.

About You

You will bring a strong foundation in financial or technical analysis, backed by tertiary qualifications in engineering, finance, economics or a related field. You may have 2 to 6 years experience in modelling, planning, commercial analysis or economic evaluation for a mining house, contractor or consultancy, and you are ready for the next step where your work has visible impact.
