About the Role

This is a role for someone who thrives on organisation, planning and keeping things on track. As our Sustainability Administrator, you'll play a central role in supporting the sustainability team through the coordination of systems, reporting, governance activities and day-to-day administration. You'll work across a broad stakeholder group, balancing competing priorities, managing multiple requests and ensuring important activities are completed on time.

Success in this role comes from knowing what needs attention, understanding priorities and proactively following things through to completion. You'll help create capacity for specialists and leaders within the team by ensuring processes run smoothly, information is available when needed and key commitments don't get missed.

While you'll gain exposure to sustainability systems, assurance activities and reporting processes, this role is less about technical expertise and more about coordination, organisation and execution.

Key responsibilities:

  • Coordinating activities, deliverables and reporting requirements across the sustainability function.
  • Supporting the administration of sustainability systems, databases, reporting platforms and document control processes.
  • Coordinating meetings, workshops, reporting schedules and action tracking.
  • Managing team calendars, priorities and key business deadlines.
  • Supporting the collection, consolidation and reporting of sustainability performance information.
  • Assisting with the coordination of assurance activities, improvement initiatives and change management projects.
  • Supporting the maintenance of sustainability standards, documentation and associated systems.
  • Monitoring actions, following up outstanding items and helping ensure business commitments are delivered.
  • Supporting budgeting, purchasing, accruals and other administrative activities across the function.
  • Contributing to internal communications, SharePoint content and team information platforms.

About You

You are very organised, proactive and dependable.

You enjoy working in environments where priorities change, multiple stakeholders require support and there is always something happening. Rather than becoming overwhelmed by competing demands, you're skilled at assessing priorities, staying organised and ensuring the right things happen at the right time.

You don't need to be a sustainability expert to be successful in this role. What matters most is your ability to coordinate activities, manage competing requests and build strong relationships across the business.

This opportunity could suit an experienced administrator or coordinator looking to work within a professional corporate function. It may also appeal to someone who has previously worked in a more senior support, project coordination or business administration role and enjoys being the person who brings structure, organisation and consistency to a busy team. Equally, it could be an excellent next step for someone looking to broaden their exposure and build a career within a large and diverse organisation.

Your experience will include:

  • Experience in a coordination, administration, project support or business support role.
  • Outstanding organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to follow-up and execution.
  • Experience coordinating information, documentation, reporting activities or business processes.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and reporting tools.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • The ability to work autonomously while maintaining strong relationships across a broad stakeholder group.
  • Experience within mining, resources or another complex operational environment will be highly regarded.
