Surveyor

Who we are

We’re a bold team with a bright future; and we’re looking for people who want to be part of it.

Evolution Mining is a premier global gold company operating six mines across Australia and Canada. We’re transforming mines and uplifting careers. We’ve extended the mine life of our Ernest Henry Operations to 2040 and doubled its ore reserves. We took our Cowal Gold Operations underground in just seven years. We’re transforming our Red Lake Operations, restoring it as a premier Canadian gold mine. That kind of ambition creates careers, not just jobs.

When we asked our people what they enjoy most about working at Evolution, two things came up across every site: career growth and the quality of the people. Here, you’ll work alongside people who care, who push one another to be better, with leaders who are there to support you.

What’s the opportunity?
This is an opportunity to contribute to a technically diverse mining operation where you'll provide critical surveying support across both underground and open pit environments. Working on an 8:6 roster (12-hour days – Thursday to Thursday), you'll play a key role in ensuring mining activities are delivered safely, accurately and efficiently through the provision of reliable spatial data and survey control.

Based at our Mungari Operations and reporting to the Senior Surveyor, you'll have the flexibility to work residentially in Kalgoorlie-Boulder (relocation support to Kalgoorlie available within Australia), or FIFO from Perth. Backed by a long mine life, continued investment in growth, and genuine career development opportunities, this is a role where you'll be able to broaden your technical capability, contribute to key operational decisions, and see the impact of your work every day.

You'll:

  • Provide accurate and timely survey support to both underground and open pit mining operations.
  • Ensure mining activities remain on track through the set out of development, production drilling, pit designs and ore delineation.
  • Maintain and manage survey control networks, digital mine models and site services data.
  • Deliver aerial photogrammetry, end-of-month reporting and other critical survey outputs that support operational decision-making.
  • Produce and maintain mine plans, emergency plans and survey records to statutory and company standards.
  • Support exploration and project activities through the provision of reliable spatial data and survey expertise.
  • Mentor graduate and trainee surveyors, helping to build capability within the broader survey team.

Why Mungari Operations?

Mungari is a cornerstone asset in our portfolio, with a mine life to at least 2038. It’s operationally diverse, with opportunities to work on the surface or underground and a great team of people who care. Our recent expansion of the processing plant has more than doubled processing capacity from 2 million to 4.2 million tonnes per year. With open pit and processing all on one site, the operational diversity is ideal for uplifting careers.

What suits your lifestyle best? We offer residential and FIFO opportunities at Mungari. Live local in the world-class mining community of Kalgoorlie-Boulder and enjoy competitive live-local incentives and allowances or choose FIFO from Perth and enjoy the benefits and camaraderie of village life.

The future here is bright; you could be part of it.
